Zac Efron eager to work with Pfeiffer

Zac Efron agreed to appear in New Year’s Eve as soon as he knew Michelle Pfeiffer was on board.
The stars previously worked together on the 2007 movie musical Hairspray.

Zac has revealed he was thrilled to film many of his scenes for New Year’s Eve with Michelle.
“This was a chance to work with Michelle on a heightened storyline, we have much more of a relationship,” he told UK television show Daybreak. “Basically when I found out she wanted to play the role I was in 100 percent. It was really great.”

The new romantic comedy boasts appearances by stars such as Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank, Abigail Breslin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Ashton Kutcher.

Zac, 24, admitted he feels incredibly lucky to be involved in the project.
“We have a phenomenal cast, a lot of Academy Award winners and nominees and some lucky kid who got in! I was very excited to be part of it,” he gushed before admitting he still hasn’t met some of his co-stars. “The way they film it, you come in for a few weeks to do your section and then they have to move on. It is our director’s responsibility to really connect the dots. Once we see it all together it will be pretty awesome.”

The movie is directed by Garry Marshall and follows the stories of several single people and couples over the course of New Year’s Eve.

It is released worldwide later this month.
